Photographic Route of ARA SOLIS and Finisterrae
This route will take three hours, where we will go by van until we reach certain areas and then we will continue by foot, in order to respect the natural and landscape environment.
The route has this name because the area we are going to tour is where legends and historical data about the ARA-SOLIS (sun altar or adoration) are located as well as FINISTERRAE (which is known as the end of the earth).
The tour will begin at the port and then we will head to Finisterra cape, going to places where we will take photos of the exterior of the Santa Maria de Las Arenas Church from the XII century. The viewpoint of Cabanas where the pilgrim statue is located with the estuary and the lighthouse in the background are one of the many places we will visit along with the pilgrim monument with the symbolic boots and the Atlantic ocean in the background, the famous lighthouse and the beautiful El Semáforo Hotel. From there we will head to the Facho and San Guillermo mountains where we will stop to photograph from the viewpoint of La Cantera. From this point we will be able to see the contrast of the open sea and the estuary with the town in the middle, the swinging stones or holy stones, the remains of the old Marconi radio station, the remains of the antique Facho of Fisterra and the San Guillermo hermitage.
To end the tour, we will head to the Rostro beach to photograph Mar de Fora beach and La Nave cape.
