Discover Finisterre

In our photographic routes, you will enjoy fascinating (picturesque) landscapes full of legends and myths. We'll take photos of places and areas where "regular" travellers don't normally go to.

Finisterre is a place which the ARA SOLIS (sun alter of adoration) is located. It was built by the Phoenicians, adored by the Romans and destroyed by the Apostle himself. For many centuries this place has fed the fears or all those who believe in it.

Decimus Junius Brutus Gallaecus came here after declaring himself the winner in the Gallaecia conquest. He didn't want to leave this land without contemplating how the sun goes down and hides itself in the ocean with a great blaze. Horrified by this, he named this area Finisterrae (the end of the earth).
